The Crozon Foil Festival 2025 came to a bright and festive end yesterday with the second round of the Downwind SUP Foil event, part of the sport’s global circuit. A total of 84 riders took off on a 31-kilometer course connecting the Port of Brézellec to the beach of Pentrez, in the Bay of Douarnenez. After a stormy start to the day, the weather cleared to reveal sunshine and perfectly oriented winds for the race. In the women’s division, local stand up paddle champion Anaïs Guyomarc’h claimed victory on home turf, ahead of Tahitian rider Naumi Eychenne. On the men’s side, Australian Kai Thompson confirmed his favorite status by winning this second round, just as he had on Tuesday. Hawaiian Finn Spencer secured second place, with Frenchman Tom Constant rounding out the podium in what proved to be a very high-level event.

Five intense days of competition and connection
From Tuesday, October 14 to Sunday, October 19, the Crozon Peninsula pulsed to the rhythm of the three major foil disciplines — surf foil, downwind foil, and dockstart pumping — with 130 participants from over 20 countries. The festival featured two spectacular downwind races, two days of foil surfing on the powerful waves of La Palue where the technical level reached new heights, and a Saturday dedicated to Dockstart Pumping contests, which drew thousands of spectators along the Morgat harbor.
The atmosphere was festive, friendly, and passionate — reflecting the spirit of the organizing club and the local community.

Champions crowned
During the awards ceremony, introduced by the Mayor of Crozon and several event partners, the overall winners of the Crozon Foil Festival — rewarding the most versatile athletes across all events — were celebrated.
Team Tahiti stood out with victories from Naumi Eychenne in the women’s division and Axel Pham in the junior boys category.
In the men’s division, Hawaiian Jeffrey Spencer narrowly edged out his younger brother Finn for the top spot.
Germany’s Marnie Bertram took second place in the overall women’s ranking and first in the junior category.

A collective success led by the Crozon Waterman Club
Once again, the Crozon Waterman Club delivered an outstanding organization.
Club President Jeff Brard and Competition Director Amaury Dormet coordinated an exceptional week with passion and precision.
Volunteers, athletes, partners, and public institutions worked hand in hand to offer a world-class sporting experience for both participants and spectators.
Representatives from the French Surfing Federation, along with the Brittany Surfing League and the Finistère Departmental Committee, praised the success of the event and the growing momentum of foil sports in France.

Looking ahead to 2026
Building on this success, the Crozon Foil Festival will return from October 13 to 18, 2026.
Supported by the French Surfing Federation, next year’s edition promises to be even more ambitious and internationally recognized, pushing the limits of foil sports and further establishing Crozon-Morgat as the Breton hub of this rapidly evolving discipline.
